Built in Sunnyvale, CA
Saffron is a custom browser based in Sunnyvale, California. It was made as a simple, distinctive way to get around the web.
The idea is plain: type a URL and go straight to that site, or type a search and see the results, all from one bar. The look is a dark red floral theme, moody and deliberate, so the browser feels like its own thing rather than another gray window.
If you are a Sunnyvale neighbor curious about a browser built close to home, we would be glad to hear from you at s184876@scusd.net.
Our Mission
Saffron exists to give people a browser that does two things well: take you straight to a website when you type a URL, and show you search results when you type a search. Both live in one bar, with no clutter standing between you and what you came for.
We also want the browser to look like nothing else on your screen. The design is built around a dark, moody red floral theme, so the experience feels distinctive from the first moment you open it. Simple navigation and a bold aesthetic, working together, is the whole idea.
One bar for URLs and search, wrapped in a look you will remember.
Saffron is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and is built to be simple to use and easy to talk about. For more on how the search bar works, see the Features page, or explore the Design page to see the dark red floral look up close.
